Favorite Books 2018

This was truly the hardest year I've ever had picking a favorite book. I ended up just changing my own rules so I could just make one big list of all of these rather than focusing on one book.

Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman

A sequel set in a fantasy world focusing on very realistic issues.

Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson

A current mystery at a creepy boarding school framed by a puzzle style mystery in the past.

The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

A hilarious period-piece romp and adventure hodgepodge of genres.

Dumplin' by Julie Murphy

A realistic, heartfelt, hilarious, and genuine realistic teen story.

Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel

An unexpected Sci-Fi story but a must listen audiobook told through interviews.

Scythe and Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman

A creative near future Sci-Fi series that says "no thank you" to the standard YA Sci-Fi tropes.

The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang

A quick and easy must read graphic novel, especially if you're not good at graphic novels.
