As a child, I lived on my family's ranch in CA where we grew lemons and avocados, and I raised pygmy goats and showed them in the county fair. I played soccer seriously and read Newbery Medal books voraciously. I make lifelong friends who I travel the world with. Vieques, Betty's Bay, Haarlem, Giverny, and Halkidiki are among my favorite places. The ocean calms me down, heights freak me out, meteor showers make me think, and dragons fire me up. I have a love/hate relationship with spreadsheets, photography, audiobooks, and the entire month of May. My go-to anger management is punk rock, my silliest obsessions are Wonder Woman and Rainbow Brite, my greatest weakness is southern Mexican food, and my favorite thing to analyze is the hero's journey. I write for fun, hike for exercise, and journal for stress relief. I believe strongly in and will fight for Oxford commas and using one space after sentences. I've never hated any of my jobs, but my favorite non-career related job was hosting trivia in Chapel Hill. And I also really like mermaid hair, Chuck Taylors, ginger beer, and calendars.
