I Started a Newsletter

When I started writing about books, it was mostly for myself as a way to synthesize and remember what I read. What I did was very informal, writing about my personal feelings towards the books I read without the expectation that it would matter to anyone else. But my friends started responding and asking for more.

I considered whether I wanted to spend more time writing (of course I did), if I had more time to spend writing (who cares make time), and if I had enough to write about (yes at least for a while), and then I planned it out. I set a goal to have a post for every Friday in 2022, with a break week every now and then.

This is the only time I've ever really stuck to something like a New Year's resolution.

From here on out, the best place to see my Now will probably be at lainastapleton.substack.com. The format works better for what I'm trying to accomplish with both my general writing and my Now. I might copy some stuff over here but no guarantees.
